A SPECTACULAR 2015 IS OPENING IN THE CARIBBEAN

Fort Lauderdale, FL. – American Airlines added a second daily nonstop flight from Miami to St. Kitts.  It is the second major Caribbean service increase from Miami for American, the other being the launch of daily service to Grenada late last year.

Virgin Atlantic is launching service from London Gatwick Airport to the Island of Tobago in March as part of its nonstop service to St. Lucia.  The aircraft will make a short stop in St. Lucia before continuing on to Tobago.  The new service will offer 266 seats and will operate weekly ion Sundays between March and October and on Tuesdays and Saturdays beginning in October.

MSN Travel has identified the World's Most Incredible Hotel Pools, and included among them is Jade Mountain in St. Lucia.  Each of its 25 open-air suites, called "Sanctuaries", leads out into a secluded infinity pool with fantastic views of the iconic Piton Mountain chain and the Caribbean Sea.  As you might imagine, each suite is completely private.

Three Las Vegas-style hotels that are part of the Baha Mar complex on New Providence Island in the Bahamas have announced plans to open March 27.  The hotels involved are The Baha Mar Casino & Hotel, the Rosewood and SLS Lux.  All three have begun taking reservations. The Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar is to open May 1 and the renovated Melia will together add 2,200 rooms to the site which features 3,000 feet of white sand beaches.  The casino at Baha Mar bills itself as the largest in the Caribbean and will provide ocean views through its 30-foot floor-to-ceiling windows.  Guests will also enjoy a huge ESPA spa, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, and local artworks.  Grammy-winner Lenny Kravitz helped design the Bond Nightclub, one of 40 restaurants, bars and clubs in the complex.

The Caribbean Journal announced its list of the Best Caribbean Islands for Shopping, which is as follows:
