TAM Airlines announced that, beginning in December, it will offer service between Brasilia, Brazil, and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.  Flights will depart on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with capacity for 144 passengers. Air France announced expanded flights to St. Maarten.  The new service will mean an additional flight on Saturdays between Paris and SXM Airport, increasing the schedule to eight weekly flights this winter. For information about wedding packages in St. Maarten, click here.

Caribbean Airlines launched its fall schedule on September 10.  The new schedule features daily service to/from Grenada and Barbados where flights will connect to Caribbean Airlines’ flight bank at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad to various destinations throughout the Caribbean Airlines network, including Miami, New York, Toronto, Jamaica, Guyana and the Bahamas.

The totally renovated Jamaica Grande by Palace Resorts is set to open in late October or early November.  Located in Ocho Rios, the resort will have a soft opening with 350 rooms and will eventually boast a total of 705 rooms.  In addition to the all-inclusive food court, there are five restaurants, six bars, four pools, and a simulated wave surfing pool.  This multi-faceted resort features a sophisticated martini bar, a sexy night club, the Wired teens lounge, the Playroom kids club, and amenities to please all members of the family.
