Southwest Airlines just began daily non-stop service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Montego Bay, Jamaica; Belize City, Belize; and Cancun, Mexico. The airline is also now flying from Cincinnati, Ohio to Grand Cayman and from Chicago-Midway Airport to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Southwest Airlines is adding non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands starting November 5th.
Serenity at Coconut Bay in St. Lucia is now open, offering guests 36 luxurious suites including a private plunge pool and butler service. This new adults-only, all-inclusive resort has 24-hour room service, stocked wet bars, private check-in and check-out, pillow menus, entertainment centers, and Molton Brown toiletries. Also featured is an adults-only 3,000 sq. ft. swimming pool with daybeds and cabanas, and an 85-foot lap pool. Serenity’s signature restaurant is Greenhouse, offering Caribbean-inspired cuisine.
United Airlines has expanded its service to the United States Virgin Islands this summer which will operate through August. United now offers daily service between Houston and St. Thomas instead of four flights weekly. The airline already has flights to St. Thomas out of Newark and Chicago. It also offers daily flights between Washington Dulles International Airport and St. Thomas and has extended its Saturday service between Newark and St. Thomas into September and October.

Palace Resorts has opened The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. The resort has over 1,300 rooms, 10 restaurants, 9 outdoor pools, an adults-only day club, 5 swim-up bars, a beach club, a kids waterpark, a bowling alley and a huge spa with 60 spa suites, plunge pools, and steam and sauna rooms.
Delta Airlines announced that, between December 21 and 31, it will add to its non-stop Caribbean service from Boston. Delta will operate flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas once a day except for Christmas.
