WHEN THE SNOW FALLS THE SUN HEATS
THINGS UP IN THE CARIBBEAN

Fort Lauderdale, FL. – Don’t feel gloomy just because Winter is upon us. Things will be popping in the Caribbean, so plan now on getting away before your toes freeze. A Winter of sun and fun awaits you in the Caribbean.

Delta Airlines is starting non-stop flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport on Saturdays to the island of St. Kitts’ Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport. The flights will be on Boeing 757-200 aircraft with a total of 199 seats.

The new Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana is now open in the Dominican Republic featuring 168 suites. The new all-inclusive, adults-only resort offers guests access to the nearby Royalton Punta Cana and its bars, restaurants, activities, entertainment and spa. Its signature restaurant onsite is the Dorado Seafood and Grill, and the resort has its own exclusive pools and beach areas for guests to enjoy.

According to GOBankingRates, among the “Hottest Millionaire Vacation Spots of All Time” are two in the Caribbean, Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

St. Kitts has welcomed the first Park Hyatt hotel in the Caribbean. Situated on Banana Bay, this 126-room luxury resort features 78 guest rooms, 48 suites, three restaurants, two swimming pools, and a huge Miravel Life in Balance Spa which offers heated private plunge pools, 9 treatment rooms, and a 24-hour fitness center.

The former One & Only Ocean Club on Paradise Island, The Bahamas, is now The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort. The iconic resort opened in 1962 and just underwent a multimillion dollar renovation that included guest rooms and a new pool overlooking the ocean.

Southwest Airlines has begun daily non-stop flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to the Turks and Caicos Islands and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Customers of the airline now have non-stop access from Fort Lauderdale to 10 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

SBE has opened its first hotel in the Caribbean, the new SLS Baha Mar in Nassau with 299 rooms on Cable Beach, together with three bars including the only rooftop bar in Nassau. Amenities include a Jack Nicklaus-designed Royal Blue Baha Mar golf course, a large casino and an ESPA Spa.

PopSugar announced “The 12 Trendiest Travel Destinations of 2017” and the lone Caribbean destination included is Havana Cuba.

The brand new Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club, Curio Collection by Hilton is now open on Belize’s Ambergris Caye. The resort is set on 60 waterfront acres and features 205 cottage and villa-style rooms. It offers guests 10 dining outlets, bay and beach clubs, and a 72,000 gallon pool.
