KEEP UP WITH THE GOINGS ON IN THE CARIBBEAN
Fort Lauderdale, FL. – Southwest Airlines has begun daily service to Mexico with nonstop flights from both Atlanta and Baltimore to Cancun. The carrier has also launched service between Milwaukee and Cancun. Earlier in the year, the airline commenced its first-ever international service from Baltimore to Aruba, Montego Bay and Nassau.
The Caribbean Journal recently identified several resorts that are truly some of the most secluded in the Caribbean, because you can only reach them by boat. Included on its list were the following:
- Palm Island – St. Vincent and the Grenadines
- Parrot Cay – Turks and Caicos islands
- Petit St. Vincent – St. Vincent and the Grenadines
- Pink Sands – Harbour Island, Bahamas
- Young Island Resort – St. Vincent and the Grenadines
- Jumby Bay – Antigua
- Green Turtle Club – Abacos, Bahamas
- Cooper Island Beach Club – British Virgin Islands
Southwest Airlines has commenced service from Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport to Cancun. The airline is converting its international service formerly offered by AirTran to Southwest, including flights to both Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
St Maarten is home to the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino and the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort, Casino & Spa. In October a third Sonesta will be added, the new all-inclusive, adults-only Sonesta Ocean Point resort, featuring 129 suites, three swimming pools, including an infinity pool, and three bars and lounges, including a rooftop bar. This new resort is located adjacent to the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino.

Delta Airlines has launched a new weekly Friday flight from Atlanta to Bonaire's Flamingo International Airport. This service is in addition to the existing Saturday service between Atlanta and Bonaire.
Hilton has opened the new Hilton Panama in Panama City as part of a 70-story mixed-use complex. The 347-room hotel includes a spa and six food and bar options. The new hotel is the fourth brand for Hilton Worldwide in Panama City. A Waldorf Astoria is among the property’s other branded hotels in Panama's capital city.
