A Turks and Caicos Wedding
The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory consisting of two groups of tropical islands, the larger being the Caicos Islands and the smaller the Turks Islands. The islands are southeast of the Bahamas chain of islands and north of the island of Hispaniola.
Those looking for the perfect destination for a Caribbean wedding will find it here. World class hotels, spas and restaurants abound, as do stretches of uncrowded beaches and vibrant coral reefs. It is home to the "Best Beach in the World", breathtaking hues from inviting waters, and legendary diving, snorkeling and fishing.
Guests attending your Turks and Caicos wedding will have dozens of hotel options, from the height of luxury to mega resorts to boutique condo-hotels offering spacious suites.
You will all enjoy all the activities available in the islands. North Atlantic Humpback Whales are seen around the islands of Grand Turk and Salt Cay and can be heard during an afternoon of diving. And there's JoJo, a unique Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin that has been living and playing in the shallow waters of the Turks and Caicos Islands for over 30 years. He is one of the few dolphins around the world that voluntarily interacts with human beings in his own natural habitat.
There are also limestone caves to explore during your stay for your Caribbean wedding, a great variety of migratory birds attracted to the salt ponds and inland marshes making it perfect for bird watching, and snorkeling where you can witness an amazing 7,000 foot drop-off. For the very adventurous, in Providenciales there is a naturally-formed massive limestone 40 foot Hole. People can be lowered down a rope where 80 feet below there is a swimming hole.
Add to this the happy, friendly people of the islands and your Turks and Caicos wedding will be perfect. Weddings here are celebrations, with church bells ringing and Champagne on ice, decorated vehicles honking horns, music and dancing and greetings from everyone. Or, they can be small and intimate in a garden or tropical setting where the singing is by the birds or in a sail boat on tranquil waters.
