- Enjoy scuba diving on la Isla de la Roqueta.
- Be amazed by the cliff divers at La Quebrada.
- Tour a mangrove swamp with an abundance of plant and animal life in a dugout canoe.
- Acapulco is one of the world’s most popular venues for sport fishing including marlin and swordfish.
- The area’s mountains of the Sierra Madre del Sur range offer rock climbing and cave exploring opportunities.
- Go kayaking on the Rio Papagayo, one of Acapulco’s largest river valleys and it runs through the Guerrero and Sierra Jungles . There are a variety of birds and wildlife inhabitants and a kayak is a great way to explore and view this pristine and spectacular area.
- Tour the Jardin Botanico, a beautiful botanical garden that includes many different plant species including orchids, sago palms and a variety of trees. There are also birds and reptiles that live in the area. The garden is free and a great place to take pictures.
- Diving enthusiasts won’t want to miss a visit to Icacos beach. The waters at Icacos beach have superb diving conditions and located just offshore is the Rio de Plata ship wreck, a great site to view marine life.
- Take a day excursion to explore Palma Sola, an archeology site complete with rock carvings that date hundreds of years ago.
