Couples wishing to get married in the United States Virgin Islands may obtain a marriage license application for a wedding on St. Thomas or St. John by calling 340-774-6680 or on St. Croix by calling 340-778-9750.

After the application is submitted to the Territorial Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands there is a required 8- day waiting period.

If either party seeking to marry in the U.S.V.I. is divorced, they must have a certified copy of the divorce decree or a notarized affidavit stating when the divorce was granted.

The marriage license application should specify whether the marriage will be performed by a Judge in the Territorial Court or by a member of the clergy.
