- The island always heats up on the weekends. The hotels and towns provide a variety of clubs and bars, most with island music.
- The Warehouse, a converted sugar mill, has disco dancing and comes highly recommended. WCK, Midnight Grooves or First Serenade play zouk music on the weekends.
- Symes-Zee on King George V Street is the happening place on Thursday nights to listen to live jazz.
- Cellars Bar is a lively after-work bar with an early evening crowd looking to relax.
- Rivers International Nightclub and Bar, opposite Ross University in Portsmouth, features local and international music and is popular with the younger locals.
- The Arawak House of Culture can seat 540 for plays, concerts, dance shows and recitals. Performances are also held at the Old Mill Cultural Centre in Canefield.
- There is mid-week entertainment at Anchorage and Reigate Waterfront hotels.
- Partake in a happy hour at Fort Young Hotel on Friday which features not only great drink specials but also Caribbean music.
- Sing to your heart’s desire at the Garraway Hotel Karaoke night every Friday.
- Visitors won’t want to miss Thirsty Thursdays at Green Flash Grill with performances from Michelle Henderson, Maxine Alleyne, and Loubiere.
- A trip to Dominica would not be complete without the Catamaran Party Cruise, which is organized by the Anchorage Dive Center. Festivities may include; rum punch, catered food, and even a small band.
