Legal Requirements In Belize
A Belize marriage license is required from the Registrar General’s office in Belize City or Solicitor General’s office in Belmopan City. The application form can be found on the Belize Law website. The cost of the license depends on the couple’s length of stay in the country.
The following documentation is required:
Proof of citizenship is required by the government of Belize in the form of a valid passport and certified copies of the couple’s birth certificates. If either party has been divorced, a certified copy or an original divorce decree is required. If either party is a widow or widower, a certified copy of the death decree is required.
